Sigh...
It's been too long since I've updated this blog. Kecian bener nih blog.
The reason is simple. I don't know what to write...
No "blog worthy" events happened lately, but today I'm trying to write something that hopefully worthy enough for you.
1. rotten tomatoes.
Has anybody ever heard about this website? Well, I knew this website for quite sometime but rarely visit it. Within this site you can find movie critics and review and the good news is (for me at least) that "ehm...ehm.. kyknya selera kita sama bokkk!" Based on the statistic 64.5% of my fave movies are Certified Fresh, 12.9% are Fresh and only 22.6% are Rotten (only??? hahaha)
Duh biasanya dulu di kost pasti d selera film gue paling beda sendirian. I've always been "the geek". So, I'm very very excited ternyata gue tidak sendirian hohoho!
2. Walking with Series
Nyambung soal ke-geek-an soal selera film, belum lama ini secara tidak sengaja turn-on the national geographic channel and ntn "Walking with Monster" yang ternyata merupakan bagian dari "Walking with..." series and I've been obsessed with it after since!
Walaupun my hubby ngorok dengan damainya pas ntn film ini, tapi buat gue ini film TOP BGT untuk memuaskan ke-geek-an gue. Jadi selesai ntn sibuklah cari2 di internet buat filmnya dan ternyata ada di youtube (dooh I'm so happy)
The complete list of Walking with... series are (based on movie chronology):
1. Walking with Monsters
2. Walking with Dinosaurs
3. Walking with Beasts
4. Walking with Cavemen
and I watched all of them. Even though the special effect is not extra-ordinary, but I don't care. I love the knowledge I gained after watching it and knowing how stupid I was before.
3. I love Peter Schmeichel and I'm so excited to see his series called "Dirty Jobs". In this series he's doing all of the dirty job including peeling off cow's head skin, cleaning up the pig's "house" etc, etc. I know it's gross but believe me after watching it, you'll appreciate your job better (temporarily perhaps but still you will, trust moi)
oh before I forget, 24 just kicked of a new season (season 8). Can't wait to see Mr. Bauer in action ;)

Gossip Girl
FYI: Nope, I am not I repeat am not talking about me! Me != gossip girl okay.
I love watching movie, especially sitcom or television series. No I am not talking about sinetron or telenovela or soap opera. I'm talking about friends, desperate housewives, grey's anatomy, ally mcbeal, supernatural, smallville, heroes and of course 24!
Currently I'm only following 1 local series 'The Little Nyonya' aired from Mon -Fri at 9 PM on channel 8 and Gossip Girl. I know it's kinda late to follow a gossip girl just now, but since all the production are stopped during chrismast holiday, there is no movie I can watch :(
What will I do without my movies........huhuhuhu...
My fiance keeps asking the same question "Apa sih bagusnya?" "Yaela gossip girl lagi" hahaha
The answer is simple I have no other movie I can watch and Chace Crawford is hot.
The reason why I watch The Little Nyonya even though there is no hot guy in there, it's because of the peranakan story. You know peranakan = delicious food = 'masak-masakan' movie and I love anything related masak-masakan. So 'klop' deh
Well, for you all television series lovers, the television series I mentioned above will be back on January 2009 and Mr. Bauer will start kicking ass on January also.
See you soon Jack!

Daniel Craig as James Bond - Continued
A...ha!
Wednesday morning and I read this article.
Quoting from detikhot that "Ciri Khas James Bond hilang dalam Quantum of Solace"
For you who doesn't want to bother to click the link, the missing parts are "Bond, James Bond" and "Shaken not stirred"
Everyone who knows me should've known by now that I think James Bond was lost since "Casino Royale". The one who is in the movie is not, I repeat is not James Bond, I prefer to call him James Blonde.

Daniel Craig as James Bond
Bond, James Bond.
The most famous British secret agent in the world (at least that is what I know of)
Until now there are 6 actors trying to portray the image of the spy, Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Bronsnan, and Daniel Craig.
I only watched 2 of them: Pierce Bronsnan and Daniel Craig.
Speaking of Daniel Craig, I often hear lots of positive comments about him especially from boys (or man? :D). They said that he is very cool, macho, and 'keren'. Very suitable to play James Bond. That is something I can not understand you guys!
Yes, I admit that since Mr.Craig, James Bond actions have been more thrilling and exciting. But that's it. For me, every time I hear the words "James Bond" the image that pops in my head is a playboy, passionate, handsome, sophisticated full of gadgets spy. An image that is supported by the author himself. Regarding him (means James Bond), Ian Fleming (the creator) wrote in The Times, October 21, 1962 (and I quote) "James Bond is a highly romanticized version of a true spy" and until now, I find it hard to find the romantic side of Mr. Craig. All I can see is the 'killing-aura' all over him. Where is the passion??? He looks so angry all the time instead of cool.
For me, he is not "the James Bond" I always imagine all this time.
Sorry Mr. Craig and his fans.

Mama Mia the Movie
Yesterday, we watched Mama Mia the Movie (it isn't the one that's produced by Indosiar okay???) at Djakarta Theater.
Since it is a musical drama kind of movie, I highly recommend this movie only to girls or to everyone else who loves to sing and dance or the one who is an ABBA big fans. Hengky said the singing were too much! Haha.
The story is just okay, the voice of the casts are mostly great, but of most all is the the beach! Oh God, It's gorgeous!! And I have to comment this, even though Mr. Bronsnan is having a fat belly now, he still looks fabulous wearing any kind of clothes. Huah. The one and only true James Bond, I acknowledge.

WALL-E
Fiuhh finally, after waiting and waiting and hoping every Wednesday, I was able to watch WALL-E on August 14 at Senayan City.
The movie did fulfill my expectation on everything. The funny part, the animation part and the story part and of course the short story part. Presto and alec azam. Maybe my judgment is a bit subjective here, since the long waiting has blurred my vision.
Anyway, in this blog I'm not going to talk about the movie, it's too long and you can find better version of story telling in wikipedia. So, feeling so wise I'm going to talk about inspirations or moral story I get from the movie:

Anyway, in this blog I'm not going to talk about the movie, it's too long and you can find better version of story telling in wikipedia. So, feeling so wise I'm going to talk about inspirations or moral story I get from the movie:
- Each person has different things he/she valued. For wall-e the box is more valuable the diamond rings. Even though the diamond is as big as Krupp Diamond. Not for me though, I'll definitely keep the ring. May be it's because WALL-E is male xixixixixi.
- Never give up even when you feel alone or when you feel your job is a never ending problem. Just keep doing what you do best. In this movie WALL-E is literally alone, yet he still compacting the trash into small cubes. WALL-E jia you!
- Be wise and learn to compromise depending on the situation. Basically EVE is programmed to shut down every time she detects a plant and return it to the AXIOM. But when she sees WALL-E's live in danger, she chooses to ignore the program to save WALL-E. How sweet..... If a robot can have feeling, why can't we human?
- Be one of a kind, look around, don't just do things just because it's a customarily, or you'll end up like people in AXIOM. Learn from M-O, he follows his passion in cleanliness and learns to act on his own accord. FYI, M-O is my favorite character... so cute ^o^
- Do it yourself. If you want to accomplish something, do it yourself, don't tell others to do your job, it won't work 100% like you want it to be done. When human want to clean the earth, they have to be part of it. Ordering WALL-Es while having a fabulous time in AXIOM won't work.
- Global warming, and watch your trash or we'll end up polluted the earth too much, we can stay there anymore.
- Fight for your believe, even though you may crushed because of it.
- Etc etc.....

A Tribute to Heath Ledger
Last week, I watched "The Dark Knight" just because i had nothing else to watch *sorry batman fans*. To my surprise, I actually enjoyed the movie. Especially, Heath Ledger performance as Joker. Instantly, I thought, that in the future, the next generation of movie lovers, will consider this performance as Classic Joker, just as i consider Jack Nicholson's Joker as the classic one.
For me, The Dark Knight without Heath Ledger's Joker, it's gonna be like Pirates of Caribbean without Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow. Tasteless.
So, I know it's very very late, but I just want to honor Heath Ledger for his outstanding performance as Joker in The Dark Knight.
Btw, apparently I'm not the only one who thinks that Mr. Bale is more charming in this movie xixixixi..
